Canon Digital IXUS 980 is Review
Ok, so as many of you probably know I needed to upgrade my camera seeing as I was using my video camera for images because I lost my old IXUS, that’s another story, anyway I finally upgraded and as you can see by the title I went with the Canon Digital IXUS 980 is…. now the main reason I went with canon if you don’t know is that all canon cameras are pretty much 100% mac compatible as well as 100% windows compatible so you get the best of both worlds, and theres also the fact that there just great long lasting cameras.
Getting onto hardware details:
- 14.7 megapixels
- 3.7x Optical Zoom
- DiG!C 4
- ISO 1600
- Optical Image Stabilizer
- Face Detection Technology
- Motion Detection Technology
- 2.5″ LCD screen
- Face Detection Self-timer
And so on there are a lot of great features in this camera but I wont get into every little detail (if you wish to check them out there listed on the canon website). When I first opened the box I noticed that the weight was not all in the instructions as with most cameras, but the camera itself, the camera was actually quite heavy which is always a good thing it also felt well constructed and sturdy, again, a good thing obviously. Its images are superb there crisp and just plain great quality its image resolution is 4416×3312 yeah that’s a huge image, basically if you want to upgrade your camera I highly recommend any of the canon IXUS range especially the 980 is.
