30′ Apple Cinema Display Review/Comparison
My 30′ Apple Cinema Display arrived today and as promised here is a review. First of all I apologize for the bad quality of the images below, I took them on my JVC-HD5 which is supposed to shoot Great Looking Full HD Video, not so great at pictures though.
Well to start this review off, the Apple Cinema Display has a unique look to it, I really cant describe it, However the Dell 30′ (Next to my Apple 30′) also looks great. Now I haven’t owned any Samsung/Philips/Viewsonic 30′ Computer displays but I have seen them in person and I have to tell you, Both the Apple Cinema Display and the 30′ Dell 3008WFP kick its ass in looks hands down!.
The screen comes with the following inputs to plug into your computer: it has 1x USB 1x FireWire 400 1xDVI and thats it. Its as simple as taking it out of the box and just plug those connections into the correct inputs.
Now I am going to compare the Apple Cinema Display Against the Dell 30′ 3008WFP
The 30′ Apple Cinema Display has the following inputs:
- 1x DVI
- 2x USB
- 2x FireWire 400
- 1x HDMI
- 2x DVI
- 1X VGA
- 1x Component
- 1x Composite
- 1x S-Video
- 12 in 1 I think card reader
- 4x USB Ports
- 1x Display Port

its nice
Looks awesome, Dual screen with two 30″ monitors must be heaven.
Oh and witch ones brighter the Dell or the Cinema Display?
@Glen: They are basically the same brightness but I think the dell is just a tiny bit brighter. And yeh having two 30′ Screens is very sik :D .
I heard about linux that it’s better than dell, mac and all others
@Ben193: Linux is just an Operating System it runs on a Mac or PC but there is basically no compatibility with it, so if you want a program that you have for Windows or OS X, the software company that makes it will probably make a Windows version and maybe a OS X version but will they make a Linux version, probably not.
So I would stick with Windows or Mac OS X or whatever your using cause it’s not worth trying to find drivers, software etc for Linux.
That’s what I have Dell Laptop and an iMac.
This kid in my skool thinks linux is better than anything. Are their viruses on Linux
@Ben193 There are viruses on any OS but since linux isn’t used by many everyday people I don’t think that you would find many for it.
If you want to try linux try Ubuntu it’s a version of linux though I garenty that you will probably prefer OS X or Windows so if you do decide to try it Dual Boot that way if you don’t like it you still have all your old stuff.
who the fuck is glenn,,,,
is this glenn wolsey!
@Seerskey16: Fuk off.
So is their any system that has viruses.
thanks…
NO I am not glenn wolsey
And ya F OFF!
Windows is main Operating system for viruses because most of the world uses it.
So the people who write viruses generally write them for Windows.
can u take a picture of the cinema display and dell 30″ and put them side by side as a photo on your review here insted of having an animated picture eh???
My Dell lap Top is super super!!!! slow
And I didn’t realize on the iphone. When your playing a video you turn the iphone the other way and the picture flips
@Ben193: lol, nice. :D
